John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:9-14 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
All women very welcome.
Please bring a friend with you to share Gods love and learn more about being in Unity with Christ
Theme: “UNITY” We are all one in Christ
Speaker: Carol Crawford
Scriptures:
Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Romans 15:5-13
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[a] on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed 9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:
“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
I will sing the praises of your name.”[b]
10 Again, it says,
“Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”[c]
11 And again,
“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles;
let all the peoples extol him.”[d]
12 And again, Isaiah says,
“The Root of Jesse will spring up,
one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in him the Gentiles will hope.”[e]
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 21: 5-10, 14, 15
"I have a story; I had a lady come to me during the year and she has no church back ground at all. I happened to say to her one day when we were ending a session, “do you know that God loved you when no one else did, you are alive today because you were and are important to Him,” And she went home. The next day I got a phone call and she said, “Rita I couldn’t get out of my head what you said. I think that is a lesson for all of us to speak God’s mercy in truth then His mercy does the rest. So in just speaking the word in love, all I said was you are important to God then and now, that’s the truth. We need to encourage people with the truth.

with Wilma Conroy and Theresa Goulding
A small spray of flowers was pinned on as each lady entered.
The opening prayer ended with the Song “We really want to thank You Lord” The Ladies received the 11th Gem. Praise and worship was lead by Wilma. Then to the surprise of all, they received the 12th and final Gem for the year. The ladies then received a sheet of paper with all the colours of the Gems and scriptures go with them. They were given time to note the order they received the Gems 1-12 depending on how many they received. Then time to sit and wait on the Lord and discern which scriptures were for them
A very excited procession all singing, “When the Saints Come Marching In” in to the Supper Room. Everyone was given a glass of bubbly (Grape Juice) a toast was made to Lord to give thanks for 15 years of Tauranga Dove. The ladies were then given the option if the wished to be creative and make something with their Gems. On the table was an assortment of ribbons, crosses, hearts, etc. The ladies were gathered around the table likes bee’s to a honey pot. A really enjoyable evening was had by all.
"Maturity and Authority in God"
Fr Brian started his talk off with what the word maturity means: To fulfil your potential.
He used the example of a cabbage plant. You plant a small cabbage plant it grows a few leaves and slowly begins to develop. If you cut it and eat it, it would taste horrible because it hasn’t reached maturity. It hasn’t had enough sun, wind and rain; it has fought off the white butterfly. It hasn’t done all it needs to do to reach maturity.
Maturity doesn’t just happen you have to work at it and we need to meet with like minded Christian women. It is important that we sit down with someone we trust and ask the question “What is God doing in my life at the moment”?
We need to practise using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Dove Fellowship is a safe place to practise. We need to encourage, support and be excited for each other.
This was a clear and simple message, very affirming of Dove Fellowship
"The Lord Touched Me" -
Our September post- camp meeting was a beautiful one! The women who had just returned the night before from the retreat were aglow with the Lord blessings, and were excited by the wonderful retreat with Terry Modica. But our generous team ensured that those who couldn't make it didn't miss out.
Maree our president gave an overview of the teachings from Terry. Then 3 ladies shared their experiences of how the Lord had touched them on retreat.
We were then lead on a meditation to a 'sacred space' where we could meet with our Lord. We were then asked to come forward to be blessed with oil and to go forth under the banner of JOY to receive the joy the lord had for each of us. The women skipped down the aisle under the banner, full of joy. We had a beautiful time of praise and worship and fellowship afterwards.
Not containing God - Knowing your authority in God and walking in it.
"You are no longer MY fiancée you are MY Bride"
The Lord's Brides learnt how to use the tools that have been given to them over the last few months.
Theme: Not Containing God
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" was the essence of the evening for me.
Our speaker, Jenny Calderwood, held everyone's attention as she shared how when her family was threatened she prayed and declared the word of God into the situation and her family was protected. Later in another very difficult on-going situation, she resisted her inclination to do things her way, instead, listened to God and declared God's Word daily. She learnt how to let go, and trust in God, growing to trust His Word and His Authority. We are called to be overcomers like King David and take a stand against the enemy.
Jenny explained how she always starts with thanksgiving and praise, then declares the Word of God out aloud until she feels at peace. She then proceeded to demonstrate, declaring the Word, brandishing a sword, confronting a retreating, cowering hand- chained person representing the enemy around the room.
The music team then lead us into a time of praise and deep worship.
At the end everyone chose a gift box which contained three scrolls with scripture references for every situation.
The evening flowed and made an impact on people.
Our God Reigns........ victorious
Theme: Not Containing God- Standing on His Word and Promises
This is a comment from one of the women present.
Such a blessing to be at Dove on Monday evening. This was a life-changing evening in which I felt the love of Jesus being poured out over the women of Tauranga Dove Fellowship in a most blessed, powerful, holy and mighty work of God.
The song “Hail Jesus. Your our King” was the key and identity of the evening for me. The mini drama showing the power of the “Armour of God” was a visual teaching which made a powerful and deep impression and which I’m sure went right into our spirits and memories.
The powerful and deep Praise & Worship stirred up our spirits, opened our hearts for the Holy Spirit to come upon us and minister healing, and grace at a very deep level.
Thank you for your faithfulness to being led by the Lord so that He could do this great work for us women here in Tauranga.
